This refresh in the Terrabay neighborhood of South San Francisco is the perfect example of how a budget-friendly project can still feel luxe, intentional, and deeply personalized.
Our clients loved their home, but it needed a spark — something fresh, something cohesive, something that made them walk in the door and exhale. And honestly? We love a project like that. Smart updates + thoughtful color = magic.
We started with the walls, giving the entire interior a soft, luminous coat of Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore. It’s warm, creamy, and instantly calming setting the tone for a space that feels both elevated and endlessly livable.
The kitchen cabinets needed love, not demolition. So we reimagined them through color — and not just any color. The island was transformed in Lush by Sherwin-Williams, a vibrant, sophisticated green that adds personality without overpowering the room. The rest of the cabinetry was painted in Evergreen Fog by Sherwin-Williams, the 2022 Color of the Year — a soft, earthy, endlessly chic green-gray that plays beautifully with natural light and warm interiors. We decided to go with a two-tone look to create dimension in the space and accentuated the home with brass accents.
With the paint and kitchen fully revived, we turned our attention to the living spaces. The goal: make them feel as intentional as the kitchen. We sourced plush, modern seating for the living room, a stylish, functional dining setup perfect for both everyday dinners and hosting, bar stools that echo the kitchen’s new palette and pull the entire home together
Every piece was chosen carefully to complement the warm Swiss Coffee walls and the chic green cabinetry, creating a home that flows beautifully from room to room.
It’s proof that you don’t need a full remodel to completely transform how a space feels. A perfect palette, thoughtful furniture, and a designer who knows how to stretch a budget are all you need.
